Toronto Film Festivali'nde Halk Jürisi'nin Seçimi "Precious" Oldu
10 Eylül 2009'da başlayan Toronto Film Festivali, 18 Eylül 2009'da sona ererken, ödül listesi de açıklandı. Geçen yıl Slumdog Millionaire'in kazanmış olduğu Halkın Seçimi Ödülü'nü Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire kazandı. Halk jürisinin verdiği bu ödülde oylama sonucu ikinci olan filmler ise Bruce Beresford'un Mao's Last Dancer'ı ve Jean Pierre Jeunet'nin Micmacs'i.
Belgesel türündeki filmler için Halkın Seçimi Ödülü ise Leanne Pooley'in Topp Twins'ine giderken, Michael Moore Capitalism: A Love Story filmiyle ikincilikle yetinmek zorunda kaldı.
